Employment Benefits

At Pineland Community Services we realize that employee benefits are a significant element that impacts the quality of life of the workforce. We strive to continue offering a comprehensive and competitive benefits package and, at the same time, keep up with the changing needs of our employees. Benefits are available through the State of Georgia for employees scheduled to work 30 hours per week. 

Leave Benefits:

Pineland CSB offers paid leave to salaried employees. Accrual for full-time employees is based on years of continuous service:

10 hours per month for up to 5 years of service
12 hours per month from 5-10 years of service
14 hours per month for 10 years of service or longer

Sick Leave:

Accrual for full-time employees is at the rate of 10 hours per month regardless of years of service. After 120 hours been accrued, up to 24 sick leave hours per year may be transferred to personal leave.

Holidays:

State of Georgia Employees are provided with 12 paid holidays per year.

Insurance/Flexible Benefits Program:

Group health, dental, accidental death and dismemberment, and life insurance are available to State employees.

Retirement/Deferred Compensation Plan:

Employees who work at least 1000 hours per year participate in the Employees’ Qualified Trust (401k) IRS qualified retirement deferred compensation plan. Pineland contributes 7.5% of each employee’s salary into the 401k plan. Employees may also contribute via payroll deduction up to the maximum allowed under IRS regulations.

Employees are fully vested for the employer portion of 401k contributions after 6 years of employment, with partial vestment on a percentage basis after 2 years.

Credit Union:

Employees may be eligible to become members of the State Employees Credit Union.
