Southeast Prevention Services offers training in the following research based prevention programs:
ALL STARS - All Stars is designed to prevent risky behavior and promote good character. This program has been expanded to include drug abuse prevention, violence prevention and teen pregnancy prevention. All Stars is best suited for ages 10 -15. Also available in Spanish.
Life Skills Training - Life Skills Training includes exercises to help students strengthen social and self-management skills...develop ways to set goals...promote assertiveness and resist peer and media pressures-all critical to avoiding drug use. Life Skills Training is best suited for children in grades 3 - 8.
“Al’s Pals: Kids Making Healthy Choices” - This curriculum uses a systematic approach to teach kids socials and emotional skills. Kids learn to think for themselves and manage their own emotions and behaviors in positive ways.
Second Step Violence Prevention - Second Step consists of programming for grades Pre-k through Grade 9. This program focuses on impulse control, anger management and empathy training. The middle school level focuses on the unique needs of adolescents. Also available in Spanish.
